Birmingham aka "East Tremont Avenue" is a 1996 song performed by [[Amanda Marshall] co wrote Mears/Mears] from her self-titled debut album. The song was her most successful single on the Canadian Singles Chart, reaching #3, and her only song to reach the United States Billboard Hot 100, peaking at #43.

The song tells of a woman, who is the victim of domestic violence at the hands of her husband (Virgil Spencer) while the two resided in the city of Birmingham, Alabama. She plans to leave Virgil and Birmingham behind, and one early morning (around 3AM, while Virgil is passed out from a bottle of Jim Beam) she successfully manages to do so without him stopping her. She drives away.
